Privacy Policy

LAST_UPDATED · 1 October 2026

1. Who is the controller

The data controller is Peaktrend Limited, a company registered in England. Contact: tom@peaktrend.co.uk.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, display name, password (hashed).
  • Idea data: ideas, descriptions, uploaded images and video links you submit.
  • Feedback data: respondent name/handle and message transcripts from validation sessions.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, and logs needed to operate the Service.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and secure the Service (contract).
  • To moderate feedback sessions and generate AI summaries (contract).
  • To communicate important updates about your account (legitimate interest).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. AI processing

Session transcripts are sent to third-party AI providers (such as Google and OpenAI) via the Lovable AI Gateway to generate moderator questions, summaries and sentiment scores. These providers process the data as our sub-processors and do not train their models on it under the gateway's terms.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with sub-processors who help us run the Service (hosting, database, storage, AI inference, email) under appropriate contracts. Public ideas and the feedback they receive are visible to anyone with the link or via the public directory.

6. International transfers

Some sub-processors operate outside the UK/EEA. Where required we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. Retention

We keep account and idea data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us. Backups are purged within a reasonable period afterwards.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • rectify inaccurate data;
  • erase your data (where applicable);
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

To exercise any of these rights, email tom@peaktrend.co.uk.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie preferences. These do not require consent under UK/EU law.

With your consent, we also load Google Analytics (gtag.js, measurement ID G-5BXDB6Y38L) to understand how visitors use Validitee. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* (retained for up to 2 years) and processes your IP address (anonymised), device and browser information, and pages viewed. Google may transfer this data to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Analytics cookies load only after you click Accept in our cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set until you opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the validitee_cookie_consent_v1 entry in your browser's site data, which will show the banner again on your next visit. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
